I'm stuck guys.
I go to Yahoo and get these recent searches that are stored on my computer at the bottom of my Yahoo search bar when i start typing a word. (e.g. Type "C" and begin to get "Cat" "Counter-Strike" "Cars" etc. at the bottom of the search bar. I understand i had a choice when i reformatted my computer to keep this feature activated but now i want it off and i can't find the what i need to do.I've searched and search but i can't find the right words to use on a support center. (Been using "deleting recent searches on internet explorer")
Anyone have any clue as to shutting this feature off?
Thanks. |

What browser are you using?
**edit**
I am just going to assume you have internet explorer (we'll talk about that in a second).
Go to the control panel, or you can hit the tools tab on your browser, and open up internet options. Go to the Content tab. Hit the tab that says "auto complete". There you can pick and choose what you want it to complete, or you can have it complete nothing.
Also, you should not be using internet explorer!!! What the hell are you thinking man? That's like getting down on your knees and begging to be jacked. Go get yourself Firefox or Opera, NOW. You'll be much happier in the end. Keep up that IE stuff and you'll be doing a lot of reformatting.
Now, when you get Firefox, to do the same thing, with the browser open hit "Tools", then select Options. Highlight the Privacy Tab at the top, then hit the "Saved Forms" tab and uncheck "Save information i enter in the search bar".
Lastly, get rid of that POS yahoo toolbar. It isn't doing you any good. |

Any particular reason why you think i'll be happier? I haven't heard much of it only that people use it. So give some info i won't find on the net about FireFox thats useful...! |

Considering Yahoo is powered by Google, why not just use Google?
Its much lighter...
