From what we gather, they are basing this on T2 elements.
I expect it to be the Unreal engine without a doubt. Global Agenda wasn't Tribes but it was a nice effort in that direction.
huggz and I drove from LA to Atlanta in a moving truck (huggz moved to N. Carolina) and they sent us the banners from E3 and other signage and we pasted them to the truck on all sides to advertise the game Global Agenda. They told us afterwards that that was probably the most advertising they had done prior to release lol.
Regardless, these guys are well funded, they are game lovers and I believe letting the T2 guys develop this and fold in the elements from Global Agenda that were great will make for a nice game.
Gotta hold out hope but just like you, everyone is holding their breath. =) |

lol... I went to the site and watched the video... next thing you know I'm digging around for my T2 cd.  It's installed now... I see there are people still playing too! Apparently the wife and sister want to drag me to a birthday dinner, but I'll probably be playing later on tonight... at least for a map or two. |

Long time since my last post but I have always considered you guys as the Elite Clan allways worthy of a good shifter battle back in the Day. I look foraward to hopefully seeing you again in the future in Tribes Ascend. like you sure hope they get it right. I actually got back online and have been trying to sharpin up on all those lost skills so I am back playing a little T2 from time to time jumping back and fourth to Battlefield Bad Company 2 and really looking forward to BF3 on the X-Box 360. well catch you in a game some time, Happy gamming!!!

well I will rephrase that last part "NO X-Box" for sure now my kids are going to sale it. So It looks like will be using my PC for a long time until I can upgarde it to handle the newer games. I am still running and older PC with single core 969 AMD processor with 2 gigs of ram for now It will do just fine playing some T2 might even reinstall Battlefield2 or Battlefield 2142 for fun. Well, this "free-to-play" concept unfortunately gets more and more popular. It just means, that you get the basic features of a game for free. For cool features you have to pay extra. Usually they promise you, that you are the same competitive without paying.
They just made Team Fortress 2 free-to-play. You can download it for free, but you can buy "funny" hats and stuff for real money. Also weapons, but they promise that these aren't better than the stock weapons ... |

| Well if its anything like previous tribes, you can get away with being just fine without the upgrades. But modding does improve your game play. Now we can't speak for this version but I know I altered the hell out of shifter, and that was mostly a free mod. I still remember maxing out the railguns damage to make it a one shot kill. |
