Hmm, Im here. 
But I got the link from the link in the "SOW Recruiting" link. Hopefully, it's the right one.
Just saw what I needed, and I have 2.2.0.........that bad? Haven't installed it yet, but is that the updated version? |

Ventrilo 2.2 only allows 8 people maximum. If you want more than 8 guys, you have to rent a V server from a hosting company, since only they get the unlimited version.
They did this, since the hosting companies were making lots of money by hosting V servers, but didn't pay any licence-fees to Ventrilo like they actually had to (free for private guys, pay for buisiness companies). By not publishing a unlimited version, the Ventrio guys assure that all companies pay for their licenses. Problem is that communities who ran their own servers are screwed now. Thats why clans still run the fully functional version 2.1. |
